Google Calendar

Every Ruby follow-up shows up in your Google Calendar with the right priority colour and phone reminders.

Overview

Ruby syncs follow-ups two-ways with Google Calendar via OAuth 2.0. Create a follow-up in Ruby and it appears as a 30-minute event in your Google Calendar with the right colour for its priority. Reschedule from either side and both stay in sync. Mobile reminders fire even when you're not in Ruby.

How to set up

  1. 1

Open Settings → Calendar Integrations in Ruby.

  2. 2

Click 'Connect Google Calendar'. Sign in with the Google account where your follow-ups should appear.

  3. 3

Grant Ruby permission to create and manage calendar events.

  4. 4

Done. Every follow-up you create from now on syncs automatically. Existing pending follow-ups backfill within minutes.

Benefits

  • Two-way sync — edits from either side propagate to the other
  • Priority-colour mapping: red for urgent/high, blue for medium, green for low
  • 30-minute default duration, customisable per follow-up
  • Mobile phone reminders fire from Google Calendar — no need to keep Ruby open
  • Per-user OAuth — every agent has their own Google account connection

Why it matters

Google Calendar is where most agents already live — every viewing, every callback, every meeting. Doubling that into a CRM-only calendar is friction agents won't tolerate. Ruby's sync means agents work in the tool they already trust and Ruby still has every follow-up tracked.
