Overview

Ruby integrates with the official WhatsApp Business Cloud API directly through Meta — no Twilio, no 360dialog, no middleware. Each agent connects their own WhatsApp Business number through Meta's Embedded Signup flow. Messages, photos, voice notes, and templates all flow in real time. Voice notes are transcribed automatically and the conversation lives next to the lead's profile.

How to set up

   Admin opens Settings → WhatsApp in Ruby and selects an agent from the team.

   Click 'Connect WhatsApp' to launch Meta's Embedded Signup popup. The agent picks the WABA and phone number, accepts Meta's terms.

   Ruby auto-subscribes the WABA to the right webhook fields and pulls existing templates from Meta Business Manager.

   Configure the initial auto-send template — Ruby fires this approved message the moment a new lead is created.

   Each additional agent runs the same flow with their own number. Multi-WABA, multi-tenant — every agent owns their thread.
